Boyne City, Michigan Dennis "Denny" Jason 1940 — 2024 Dennis "Denny" Jason, 83, formerly of East Jordan, died Monday, March 4, 2024, at his home in Boyne City. Survived by his wife, Mary Porter Jason of Boyne City; four children, Nate (Deb) Jason of Boyne City, Amy (David) Boal of Charlevoix, John (Fran) Jason of Traverse City and Michael Jason of Boyne City; five grandchildren; one great grandchild; and one sister, Kathleen (Larry) Rittenberg of Wisconsin. A memorial service will be held on March 12, 2024 at 11 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, East Jordan. Mark was born in Traverse City, MI to Milford and Marie Schaub on August 14, 1956. Raised in Sutton's Bay, MI, he graduated from Sutton's Bay High School in 1974. Mark found ballroom dancing in 1977 in Flint, MI when he became a dance instructor for Fred Astaire Dance Studios. He later moved with the company to Florida and competed professionally throughout North America and Europe, winning various National and World Dance Titles.
